Duty-paid modules available at attractive prices

Provisional anti-dumping duties passed

Last week the EU Commission announced 11.8% provisional anti-dumping duties, however uncertainty in recent weeks has meant that the available supply of reasonably priced products across Europe is declining. Once again, Krannich Solar demonstrates its business acumen and has filled its warehouse: we can continue to offer even larger quantities of Axitec, Bosch, Luxor and Hanwha Q-Cells modules at attractive prices and we are therefore best prepared to deal with your enquiries.

The EU directive on anti-dumping in detail

From 6 June 2013, a provisional anti-dumping duty of 11.8% will be levied in the EU on all wafers, cells and modules of Chinese origin. Should no negotiated settlement be reached with China by 5 August, average import duties of 47% will then automatically come into effect. The duties will be between 37.2 and 67.9 percent depending on how well the Chinese companies involved have cooperated with the EU Commission in the proceedings.

The final decision on the imposition of punitive duties will be made by the EU Council of Ministers on 5 December. A decision will also be made on this date about the retrospective imposition of import duties, which could then be collected as far back as 5 March. A majority of EU member states is needed for the duties to enter into force, however, to date, the majority of the member states have spoken out against the import tariffs.

Secure attractive prices now

Now is the time to persuade your customers to invest in a solar system. The impending rise in the punitive tariff applicable after 6 August 2013 could increase the price of modules, while the feed-in rate continues to fall, thereby lowering returns.

Our customers will be on the safe side with duty-paid products from wholesalers, because, as the original purchaser of imported solar products, Krannich Solar will bear all duty and import charges. This will also apply to any retroactively imposed punitive tariffs.

New to the range: Innotech Solar

Modules Made in Europe with good price-perfromance-ratio

In May 2013, Krannich Solar brought another strong partner for powerful photovoltaic modules on board, Innotech Solar (www.innotechsolar.com).

The company's cooperation with the Scandinavian module manufacturer is of benefit both to PV installers and installation operators:

Exceptional quality and a small CO2 footprint

Innotech Solar can look back on a ten-year track record in the production of crystalline solar modules, which incorporates a wealth of accumulated experience, constant innovation and the highest quality standards. The results are the special quality features of ITS modules such as optimised, high-performance cells that are free of hot-spots, generous positive sorting (-0/+10 Wp), environmentally friendly production with a 74 % smaller CO2 footprint along with stable production and supply conditions.

Price certainty of EU products

The expansion of the product portfolio to include European solar modules also guarantees independence from the EU anti-dumping directive that applies to photovoltaic components originating in China. Cooperation between Krannich Solar and Innotech Solar also enables installers to profit from price certainty that affords them greater planning security.

Proximity offers advantages

The geographical proximity to the European manufacturer Innotech Solar also results in shorter transport routes. This is not only environmentally friendly as it saves on CO2 emissions, but also of benefit to customers and system operators in terms of logistics. Shorter routes and faster delivery times allow greater flexibility when it comes to planning installations. They also enable prompt replacement in the event of damage and ensure faster availability of new developments.

"The cooperation with Krannich Solar is almost tantamount to an award for our ITS solar modules," says Dr. Thomas Hillig, Vice President Modules Sales & Marketing at Innotech Solar. "That's because we know that Krannich Solar tests all products thoroughly before passing them for distribution." Kurt Krannich, Managing Director at Krannich Solar, confirm this: "Only when all components have been checked and performance and safety criteria met do we include a product in our portfolio. The quality of the ITS modules impressed us in every respect!"

Dome Mounting Systems by K2 Systems

For each request, the best system

Lighter, faster, cheaper - these are the main advantages of the K2 Dome products developed by K2 Systems. These roof systems are especially created for flat roofs with low ballast potential and provide higher yields.

In order to provide for any flat roof the optimal solution, there are two different systems: the double-sided elevated K2 Double Dome System, known as "K2 D-Dome", and the single elevated K2 Single Dome System, known as "K2 S-Dome".

Whether it's "Double" or "Single" - both systems have their advantages. D- and S-Dome system will be installed with simple K2 components, whereby the construction time is reduced considerably. But it is not only that costs of installation time can be saved, but also for mounting products. Both are clearly reflected on the credit side of the return on investment. In terms of security and stability, the K2 Dome Systems are not inferior to the other K2 mounting systems.

The K2 Double Dome System

This system can be mounted on flat roofs with doubled orientation. It is elevated on both sides and thus ensures optimal sun exposure, even if the system is not south oriented. Due to the elevation degree of only 10°, the shading clearances are minimal.

Especially small and medium-sized industrial enterprises can increase the consumption of the power generated by their own PV system. Thanks to the angle of 10 ° it is possible to achieve about 80% more performance in comparison to a conventional south elevation system.

The K2 Single Dome System

In contrast to the K2 Double Dome, the Single Dome System is elevated only in one direction. This system is particularly suitable for flat roofs with south orientation. A windbreaker on the back ensures optimal aerodynamic behaviour, which was professionally tested in a wind tunnel. Through the south-orientation, it is possible to achieve maximum yields.

The angle of 10 ° enables small distance shading. For this reason, it is possible to achieve about 30% more performance in comparison to a conventional south elevation system. As the K2 D-Dome System, the S-Dome System is also one of the most affordable lightweights in the assembly systems.

Speicherförderung sichern mit Krannich Trinity

Seit 1.

Krannich Solar at Intersolar Europe 2013 in Munich, Germany

19 - 21 June 2013, Hall A6, Booth Nr. 290

The energy transformation has powerful opponents. But Krannich Solar also has powerful solutions. Visitors at Intersolar Europe 2013 in Munich will have an opportunity to find out more about these solutions.

In Hall A6, Stand No. 290, Krannich Solar presents solutions for accelerating the energy transformation. For private individuals, commercial enterprises, agriculture, industry, communities and local authorities, for each one of us.

Krannich Solar will be presenting the following themes at Intersolar Europe in Munich:

Independent - Krannich Trinity, the clever solution for storing solar power
Krannich Trinity offers a large selection of packages for storage solutions configured for the many requirements of facility operators. By making use of pre-configured packages, installers can quickly and safely select the right solution for optimising their customers' own consumption.

Easy-to-install - The K2 Double and Single Dome System for flat roofs
This light and aerodynamic system, which does not require a lot of components, impresses with a good price/performance ratio and rapid installation. The Double Dome System ("D-Dome") elevated on both sides, and the Single Dome System ("S-Dome") elevated on one side, are particularly suited for flat roofs with small load reserves.

Secure - The K2 fastening technology for any challenge
The new CrossHook 4S is sure to get the attention of trade fair visitors. This light and height-adjustable K2 roof hook can be used to adjust the height of the system, and is therefore also suited for older and uneven roofs.

Clever - How businesses reduce their electricity costs
By using their own solar system, commercial operations can save operating costs and guarantee stable electricity prices. However, PV facilities for commercial operations are not of the "one size fits all" variety. Krannich's medium-sized business solution gives PV installers the option of developing a new market segment, and enables them to distinguish themselves with professional and sound advisory services.

Rapid - The Krannich WebPortal for orders 24/7
Whether you are looking for information on system configurations, price inquiries, rush orders or marketing support - in the WebPortal, PV installers can browse the segments Webshop, PVplus and Marketing Support to access a wide range of services for successful contract implementation.

Traditionally, Krannich Solar has invited visitors to the "Blue Hour" (Blaue Stunde) at its trade fair stand at the end of the day. Visitors can unwind after a busy day on Wednesday, 19 June, and Thursday, 20 June, between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm with relaxing music, fine finger food and cool drinks.

SolarEdge: New products

Greater compatibility and large installations

The product portfolio of inverters and power optimisers from SolarEdge, which has proven extremely successful to date, is now being enhanced to facilitate the use of third-party inverters. Also new is the ability to monitor and optimize the output of PV installations > 1 MW at module level.

OPI300-LV with IndOP™-Technologie
The use of Independent Optimisation technology (IndOP™) allows the OPI300-LV power optimiser to be connected to any inverter. No additional interface is required. The optimiser achieves a power increase of up to 25 % at an average efficiency of 98.8 %. The stable module voltage provides for optimum safety during installation, maintenance or in the event of fire. Monitoring at module level requires the Safety and Monitoring Interface (SMI-35).

OP600-96V
This module add-on is ideally suited to large PV installations and commercial systems. It is compatible with SolarEdge inverters upwards of 16 kW. Monitoring at module level enables rapid troubleshooting and simplifies the maintenance of installations. Even partially shaded installations can achieve a high efficiency of 99.5 %. The installation of strings of different lengths or orientation is also possible without difficulty.

SMI-35
The Safety and Monitoring Interface SMI-35 is installed between SolarEdge power optimisers and inverters from another manufacturer. This means that all inverters can be used to perform monitoring at module level. To enable this, the interface gathers output data of the individual modules (as measured by the power optimisers) and of the inverter. This data is then sent to the monitoring server. Data communication is via RS232, RS485 or Ethernet.

Bundled energy - Solar power versus horse power

Interim report on the photovoltaic system Bläsihöfe in Wiesensteig at the foot of the Swabian Alps...

In terms of horse power, the photovoltaic system at the horse farm "Bläsihöfe", which was installed in 2011 and 2012, tops the energy values of its four-legged inhabitants by several magnitudes.

Within the course of one year, PV facilities with a capacity totalling 244 kWp were installed on the four roofs of the stables and riding hall in two sections. The Bläsihöfe on-roof power plant consists of 1,140 solar modules from Suntech, nine Sungrow inverters and a K2 Systems mounting system.

The 67 kWp system, which went into operation on 7 November 2011, already produced 67,000 kWh of electricity by the time the second 177 kWp system was installed. Both systems together generated 72,400 kWh of electricity from solar power as of January 2013. Operators, installers and participating companies are very satisfied with this interim result.
